- chemical characteristics of Colyer’s Spring “frequented by invalids” (p. 39)
- mention of the canals and a large swamp – Canaseraga and the adjacent Chitteningo Flats (p. 40-41), with a discussion of its impact on fevers (45)
- details of the Asiatic Cholera (50) 1832 and Dysentery 1821 (51), Scarlet Fever (53) epidemics are given
- mentioned assorted patent medicines and then Thomsonian (52-3), to whom he compares his own methods with
- mention of Eupatorium local herb as a medicine, with mind-body powers and influences inferred (49-50)
