References.

Numerous references were used to identify and describe these medicines.  Many of the herbal medicines can be found in the works by Nicolas Culpeper, J. Worth Estes, Gerard, Madame Grieve, and John Parkinson.  Texts by William Cullen, Lewis and Monsieur Pomet also served to be invaluable, although they are not found in most public libraries.
