Shelton
NOTE: Elizabeth Elkins (Bristow) Hendricks, Dr. Bristow’s sister, was being treated for a … Diphtheria. Over the next few months a vicious strain of Diphtheria would effect much of Oregon, killing many of its victims. The “Shelton” noted by Bristow was probably Dr. ______ Shelton, a precipitator of the political fight between Physiomedical doctors and allopathic doctors during the mid to late nineteenth century in Oregon. He probably attended to Elizabeth alongside Dr. Bristow who was anxiously searching for a second opinion.
Credited at one time with Timothy Seed and Oats.
